CSC Successful & Fruitful Malaysia Business Exploration!

From September 2ndto 7th, we organized a MALAYSIA BUSINESS TOUR for China’s Pharmaceutical Companies to explore Malaysia's opportunities in new drug clinical trials and the investment environmental landscape. We had invited a domestic delegation to Malaysia, most of them are the founders and Senior Managers from China’s biotech or pharma, led by Dr. Hualong SUN (Chief Strategy Officer, CSC) and Mr. Ken CHEN (Vice President, CSC) to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the tour, we participated in a seminar hosted by Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) on “The Status and Environment of New Drug Development in Malaysia.” With experts from Malaysia’s National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency discussed the regulatory requirements for drug registration, and CRM’s Business Development Director shared insights on the clinical trials landscape and opportunities. At last, the officer of Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA) also introduced Malaysia’s biopharmaceutical investment policies. We engaged in the panel discussions on priority review standards, GMP requirements, cell and gene therapy trials, and investment incentives.

We then, visited Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (HKL) for knowing the clinical research facilities and had a meeting with HKL investigators regarding how to conduct clinical trials locally. Furthermore, we visited DuoPharma (Malaysia’s largest pharmaceutical company) and Selangor Industrial Park, exchanging ideas and invest policies with local investment agencies.

We sincerely appreciate the warm welcome and support from CRM, HKL, DuoPharma, Invest Selangor, and other capital firms. This short but productive trip left us with valuable insights. Malaysia’s growing pharmaceutical industry, driven by rising healthcare demand and economic development, presents exciting opportunities for collaboration. CSC looks forward to more possibilities cooperation in the future with Malaysia hospital, pharma, and investment companies.

Another highlight was August 31st, Malaysia’s 67th Independence Day. Dr. Hualong SUN, Chief Strategy Officer of Clinical Service Center, was invited to attend the 67th Malaysian National Day Gala hosted by the Malaysia Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

During the event, Dr. SUN engaged with representatives from various Malaysian government agencies in Shanghai, as well as entrepreneur representatives from China and Malaysia. Clinical Service Center is committed to being a bridge among the pharmaceutical industries of both countries, and supporting China’s biopharmaceutical companies on Going to overseas.
